FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in electric traction machines of railway rolling stock, such as commutator motors and generators. Current collector for a commutator-brush assembly of a traction electric machine comprises a longitudinally split brush having a sliding contact with a collector of an electric machine, wherein in the section of the brush there is an electroconductive lubricant composition in a grease made on the basis of “ЦИАТИМ-221”, electroconductive materials are introduced in the form of a compound of molybdenum disulphide up to 1–5 % of volume; copper powder and graphite powder in proportion of 5–20 % of lubricant volume.

EFFECT: increase in the collector-brush assembly operation reliability and reliability, increase in its resource, reduction in the contact friction characteristics in the de-energized state, which provides higher energy efficiency during operation, as well as reduced spark formation in contact and improved switching characteristics under current load.
