FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to operative oncology and mammology. Incision, isolation and removal of a breast sector with a tumour node in the form of a triangle is performed. Isolated sector is removed to the fascia of the greater pectoral muscle and directed for a macroscopic examination of the width of the resection edges. Scrapings, smears-imprints are performed from all resection edges and also sent for urgent cytological examination in order to exclude or confirm presence of tumour cells in the investigated resection edges. Axillary tissue is accessed in order to isolate and remove a sentinel lymph node or to perform axillary-subscapular-subclavian lymphadenectomy at N+, sentinel lymph node is removed and sent for urgent cytological examination, by the time the operation is completed, the result of an urgent cytological examination of the removed lymph node and resection edges is obtained. If tumour cells are found in a sentinel lymph node, an axillary-subscapular lymphadenectomy is performed. In the absence of tumour cells, the operation is completed without performing lymphadenectomy. Incision is made in the upper-internal quadrant along the internal contour of the mammary gland, sector with tumour node in form of triangle from areola "acute angle" to internal border of gland "base of triangle" is selected and removed.
EFFECT: method enables reducing the length of postoperative wound healing and improving aesthetic results.
