SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to diagnose affective disorders in patients with alcohol dependence. The spectral power and coherence of EEG rhythms are recorded and measured in a state of calm, relaxed wakefulness with eyes closed in patients with an established diagnosis of alcohol dependence. The value of the Y indicator is calculated using the claimed formula. When Y is equal to 0.5 or more, the presence of a comorbid affective disorder is diagnosed in a patient with alcohol dependence. If Y is less than 0.5, there is no comorbid affective disorder.
EFFECT: method allows to quickly and objectively diagnose affective disorders in patients with alcohol dependence by assessing a set of the most significant indicators.
