FIELD: veterinary pharmacology.
SUBSTANCE: method of the treatment of salmonellosis in young cattle, including the introduction of polyvalent serum against salmonellosis, pasteurellosis, escherichiosis, parainfluenza-3 and infectious bovine rhinotracheitis, 10 cm3 of which contains effective titers of specific antibodies to Pasteurella multocida strains No. 8683, No. 656, No. T-80 — not less than 66%, to strains of Salmonella Typhimurium No. 371, Salmonella dublin No. 373 — not less than 80%, to strains of Escherichia coli 115/2 (O115), 320 (O78:K80) — not less than 70%, titers specific antibodies to Pasteurella haemolitica strain No. 169 in the RNGA — not less than 1:64, to Escherichia coli strains O115:K88, O141:K99, O9:K103:987P, 0141:F41 — producers of adhesive antigens: K88, K99, 987R, F41 in RA — not less than 1:400, to parainfluenza-3 virus in RTGA — not less than 1:128, and to infectious bovine rhinotracheitis virus — not less than 1:32, feeding in the amount of 19–20 cm3 of Argerit-40 antiseptic in the form of an aqueous solution of silver containing 0.8 mg of silver ions per 100 ml of water, an immunostimulating drug and intramuscular administration of a vitamin complex, characterized by additional using of the following: Lexoflon® antibiotic, which is administered intramuscularly at a dose of 5 cm per kilogram of animal weight, once a day for five days; Allervet 1% antihistamine, calves are injected intramuscularly with 0.025 cm3 per kilogram of animal weight twice a day once; to activate metabolic processes, it is administered intramuscularly twice a day at a dose of 10 cm3 per animal with an interval of five days — Catozal®; Calfoset is used as macro- and microelements®, which is administered once, intramuscularly 25 cm3 per animal, and Injection Multivitamin as a complex of vitamins in a dose of 5 cm3 per animal twice with an interval of ten days, while Argerit-40 antiseptic in the form of an aqueous solution of silver is provided as liquid in an amount of 19–20 cm3 per animal for 30 days, due to the fact that silver has a bactericidal effect, and polyvalent serum against salmonellosis, pasteurellosis, escherichiosis, parainfluenza-3 and infectious rhinotracheitis of cattle is administered in a dose of 60 cm3 with an interval of two days, and as an immunostimulating drug Kargmez aqueous-alcoholic herbal tincture is used, prepared from a herbal collection consisting of 2 parts of Echinacea purpurea, 1 part of St. John’s wort — leaves and flowers 0.5 parts each, 0.5 parts of nettle leaves and 0.5 parts of lemon balm — leaves and apical shoots 0.25 parts each, and 1 part of the herbal collection are mixed with 70 vol.% rectified ethyl alcohol in a ratio of 1:5 and 200 ml of Argerite-40 per 100 ml of water is added, then thermostated at a temperature of 36–37°C for 14 days, then the resulting tincture is brought to 30% concentration, diluting with distilled water, infused for 24 hours for better diffusion, diluted with 130–150 ml of boiled water and fed to the animal at a dose of 0.10–0.12 ml per 1 kg of its mass.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the effectiveness of treatment of young cattle.
