On admission to hospital on the first day, the patient undergoes echocardiography, determining the end diastolic volume of the left ventricle and the thickness of the interventricular septum in diastole, and then calculating diastolic coefficient by original formula. And if the diastolic coefficient is less than 9 ml/mm in the examined patient, the development of moderate and severe pancreatitis is predicted.
EFFECT: method enables simplifying the study for predicting the development of moderate and severe pancreatitis based on the evaluation of echocardiographic signs of myocardial dysfunction.
