FIELD: medicine; surgery.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical models. Simulation model is made from a piece of small intestine of a pig with preserved mesentery. From one of the ends of the intestinal segment at a distance from the mesentery line on both sides, longitudinal incisions are made parallel to the mesentery line. At the end of the longitudinal sections of the intestine, a transverse incision is made towards the antimesenteric edge of the intestine and the antimesenteric band is cut off, obtaining a mesenteric band on a portion of a small intestine segment. At the end of the near-mesenteric band, the flap is cut off by arc-like incisions, rounding off the corners of the near-mesenteric band. Edges of the near-mesenteric band are sutured along the arched incisions, simulating the blind end of the appendix model, then along the longitudinal incisions, simulating the appendix model tube. By suturing the cross sections, a cecum dome is formed, the model of which is made by an intact portion of a porcine small intestine. Transverse seams are closed with a semipurse-string suture in the area of the model dome. Simulation model is made from a mesentery section of porcine small intestine. Appendix model tube with a rounded blind free end is formed on a portion of the intestinal segment at a distance from the mesentery line. Remaining intact portion of the porcine small intestine with a closed surgical suture defect in the transition to the tube of the appendix model represents a model of a blind intestine with a dome. Method is simple and enables to produce several copies of models from the small intestine of a pig.
EFFECT: model provides visual anatomical and tactile similarity with human tissues and organs; has reproducibility; makes it possible to simulate all stages of appendectomy, as well as versions of clinical situations; enables to use the power tool for dissection and coagulation of tissues and providing hemostasis; is characterized by availability.
