FIELD: various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of rubber crumb recovery from general-purpose rubber and can be used for the manufacture of rubber products for various purposes: in the production of rubber articles, production of tires, bitumen-polymer mastics, based on which waterproofing materials used in construction and repair can be obtained. Method is carried out by subjecting rubber crumb with fraction of up to 400 mcm, obtained by thermomechanical or cryogenic grinding, preliminary mechanochemical modification in a haloalkane solution in an organic solvent, after modification, the crumb is dried at temperature of 70 °C. Further, the modified rubber crumb is dispersed in distilled water and heated while stirring to temperature of 80 °C. Potassium peroxodisulphate is then added and the mixture is stirred for 4 hours while feeding dry nitrogen. Thereafter, the rubber crumbs are filtered, washed with water and dried. A polysulphide silane binding agent is added in amount of 4 wt.pts. during production of the rubber mixture.
EFFECT: development of a new method for functionalisation of the rubber crumb surface to increase its activity and improve the properties of rubber compositions.
