SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a distribution element for uniform distribution of a first fluid medium along a cross-sectional plane or a collector element for collecting a first fluid medium distributed over a cross-sectional plane, wherein the second main fluid medium flows in direct flow and/or in counterflow relative to the first fluid medium through the distribution element, wherein the distribution element comprises at least three plates arranged at least substantially parallel to each other, wherein a level is formed between each of the two adjacent plates, wherein each of the plates comprises a number of holes, wherein in each of the levels there are walls, each of which extends from one side of the plate to the adjacent side of the adjacent plate so that each wall forms a channel through which the second main fluid must flow, wherein the channels in an impermeable manner for the fluid connect all the holes between the adjacent plates, wherein in each of the levels between the walls forming the channels, one or more hollow spaces are formed through which the first fluid can flow, wherein each of the plates comprises at least one passage not connected in a fluid tight manner to one or more openings of the adjacent plate by a channel, located adjacent to one of one or more hollow spaces of adjacent level (levels) so that at each level between passages of adjacent plates there are at least two paths for fluid in one or more hollow spaces of level, wherein all of at least two fluid paths of each level have substantially the same length, wherein the number of fluid paths increases if seen in direction from one extreme plate to the opposite extreme plate for at least 75% of the plates from level to level.
EFFECT: providing uniform distribution of the first fluid medium with high distribution density along the section plane or uniform collection of the first fluid medium, distributed over the surface of the cross-section plane, in particular, over the cross-section plane of the mass-exchange column, while it does not substantially interfere with the flow of the second fluid medium through this plane, wherein the element is easy to manufacture and simple to operate.
