SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to biotechnology, and can be used in biological and medical laboratories for reducing the level of cadmium in animals. Suspensions of Bacillus subtilis 534 1x109 CFU/ml of 0.7% NaCl solution in dose of 1.0 ml per one mature individual are individually administered to rats. Preparation is administered on an empty stomach for 7 days.

EFFECT: method enables extending the list of prescriptions of probiotic preparations, namely, enables using said preparations for reducing the level of toxic effect of cadmium on the animal body, as well as preventing its pronounced pathological effect on detoxification systems.
