SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and can be used in biological and medical laboratories resolving the problems of the use of probiotic preparations in the delivery system of essential elements into the organism of animals. Method of increasing the iron content in the body of animals includes the giving of food by introducing 1 time per day per os biomass of inactivated microorganisms that include in the probiotics Vetom 1 (Bacillus subtilis 10641) and Bactisubtil (Bacillus cereus IP 5832), after cultivation in a liquid nutrient medium with the addition of FeSO4 at a concentration of 0.05 M/ml, in the amount of 0.5–1.5 ml per head and fed to rats on an empty stomach for 7 days.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the iron content in the body of animals.
