SUBSTANCE: invention relates to detection of smoke particles. To achieve the technical result, a scattered light detector is provided for detecting particles, having a control region having a flow inlet and outlet, a light emitter configured to emit a light beam in radiation direction (A), wherein the emitted light beam forms an area (X) of intersection with the flux path, a light receiver for receiving a portion of the scattered light scattered on the particles, wherein the light beam emitted by the light emitter is directed into the reference area by means of a light guide deflecting the light beam, and the light receiver is located so that the direct or indirect path (S) of the scattered light passes between the light receiver and the intersection area (X), the light receiver, the light emitter and the light guide are located outside the flow path of the controlled fluid medium, outside the control area and outside the circumferential wall of the control area.
EFFECT: creation of a detector with a more compact and more durable design, as well as with high response sensitivity, which remains constant during operation, as well as a lower frequency of false alarms.
