FIELD: medicine; neurosurgery.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in treatment of tunnel neuropathy of the peroneal nerve in the upper third of the leg at the level of the fibular canal. An incision in the skin and subcutaneous fat is made in the upper third of the leg, 1–2 cm below the projection of the peroneal nerve. At the apex of the head of the fibula, the superficial fascia of the leg is incised. A flap is formed from it and separated to the lower edge of the peroneal nerve. Neurolysis of the peroneal nerve is carried out to the point where it enters under the tendon of the peroneus longus muscle. An incision is made through the thickness of the lateral part of the peroneus longus tendon above the entry point of the peroneal nerve trunk under the peroneus longus tendon towards the anterior surface of the tibia, 2–3 cm long. The distal part of the cut tendon is turned medially to the anterior surface of the tibia and fixed to the medial part of the peroneal muscle longus tendon with 4–5 sutures. The proximal part of the cut tendon is turned downwards and fixed with 3-4 sutures to the distal end of the peroneus longus tendon. The proximal end of the formed superficial fascia flap is passed under the peroneal nerve, turned distally and fixed with 2–3 sutures at the lower edge of the peroneal nerve.

EFFECT: method ensures a reduction in the frequency of disease relapses by preventing the development of a scar process and migration of the peroneal nerve to the head of the fibula.
