FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to otolaryngology, in particular to methods of diagnosing inflammatory diseases of larynx. Patient's blood is tested spectrophotometreically. If optic density of oxyhemoglobin is from 0.652 to 0.655 in zone of absorption 540 nm and from 0.678 to 0.687 in zone of absorption 576 nm conclusion about compensated form of chronic tonsillitis is made. If optic density of oxyhemoglobin is from 0.568 to 0.591 in zone of absorption 540 nm and from 0.564 to 0.6 in zone of absorption 576 nm conclusion about decompensated form of chronic tonsillitis is made.
EFFECT: method ensures not less than 92% accuracy of diagnosing compensated and decompensated form of chronic tonsillitis, method is simple in application, non-invasive, has sufficient degree of reliability in diagnostics of chronic tonsillitis, can be applied as additional method of chronic tonsillitis diagnostics.
