METHOD FOR PREDICTING MILK PRODUCTIVITY OF CATTLE BASED ON LEVEL OF CHEMICAL FORMS OF COPPER IN BLOOD SERUM Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A01K67/02

Abstract RU 2814822 C1

FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: method includes sampling of venous blood in an amount of at least 6 ml from the tail vein of cows on days 30–50 after calving, further isolation of serum by centrifugation for 10 minutes at a speed of 1,000 g, assessment of copper and ceruloplasmin content using inductively coupled plasma and high-performance liquid chromatography mass spectrometry methods. When the concentration of copper in the blood serum is higher than 0.9 mcg/ml and ceruloplasmin is higher than 0.4 mcg/ml, cattle are classified as a group with high milk production potential; when the concentration of copper in the blood serum is below 0.9 mcg/ml and ceruloplasmin is lower 0.4 mcg/ml cattle are classified as a group with low milk production potential.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to predict the milk productivity of cattle.
