FIELD: various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: present invention generally relates to a method of processing glycerine-containing wastes from biodiesel production. Disclosed is a method of processing glycerine-containing wastes, comprising a step of obtaining crude glycerine as a result of production of biodiesel using an acid catalyst containing sulfuric acid. To implement the method, crude glycerine is mixed with an aqueous solution of barium hydroxide. Insoluble residue of barium sulphate is then removed by hydromechanical method. Thereafter, the aqueous solution of glycerine is clarified with activated carbon.
EFFECT: creation of a method for processing glycerine-containing wastes obtained during production of biodiesel on an acid catalyst (sulfuric acid), having the following advantages in comparison with existing technological solutions: simple technological design of the process, no need to use a large amount of additional reagents, low salt content of the obtained glycerine, low water content in the purified glycerine.
