FIELD: smoking materials.
SUBSTANCE: drying of herbal material, in particular tobacco material. The drying device includes a tank having an internal space for receiving herbal material, and a driving device for rotating the tank around a rotation axis of the tank. The blades for interacting with the herbal material placed in the interior space of the drying device tank extend from the inner surface of the tank into the interior space of the tank. In the cross section, where the section plane is perpendicular to the axis of rotation, the blades are inclined relative to the radial direction. Heating elements for heating the blades are built into the blades. A method for drying herbal material and the use of blades on the inner surface of a rotating reservoir of a rotary drying device containing the herbal material is also claimed.
EFFECT: improving the quality of the dried material and the efficiency of the drying method.
