SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a device, method and use for extraction of ingredients from plant material, in particular alkaloids, such as nicotine, and/or tobacco flavouring substances from tobacco material. Device for extracting ingredients from plant material comprises a first screw conveyor with at least one rotatable first screw, which is adapted to transfer plant material from the inlet of the first auger conveyor to the outlet of the first auger conveyor. Device further comprises a second screw conveyor with at least one rotatably driven second screw, which is adapted to transfer plant material from the inlet of the second auger conveyor to the outlet of the second auger conveyor. Fluid connection is provided between the outlet of the first auger conveyor and the inlet of the second auger conveyor. Fluid connection is adapted to provide a flow of plant material from the outlet of the first auger conveyor to the inlet of the second auger conveyor. First screw conveyor has a first fluid outlet in its downstream side. Second screw conveyor has a second fluid outlet in its downstream side.
