FIELD: medicine; oncology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the treatment of colorectal cancer in an in vivo experiment. Mice are injected with 0.2 ml of a 120 mM sterile aqueous solution of lithium ascorbate intraperitoneally. 30 minutes after the injection, the tumour is locally exposed to X-ray radiation at a dose of 4 Gy with an intensity of 15 mGy/s. Then, on days 2, 4 and 6 after irradiation, 0.2 ml of a 120 mM sterile aqueous solution of lithium ascorbate is reintroduced intraperitoneally.
EFFECT: invention provides a significant reduction in colorectal cancer tumours in laboratory mice, which increases the effectiveness of radiation therapy.
