FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a film, a film comprising a polypropylene composition containing a random copolymer of propylene monomer units and ethylene comonomer units, wherein the random copolymer has an ethylene comonomer content of 0.5 to 2.8 wt.%, based on the total weight of the monomer links in the random copolymer, polypropylene composition has a melt flow index MFI2 from 0.5 to 20.0 g/10 min, determined according to ISO 1,133 at temperature of 230 °C and load of 2.16 kg, polypropylene composition has content of cold xylene soluble substances (CXSS) from 0.05 to 5.00 wt.%, determined at 25 °C according to ISO 16,152; 5th edition; 2005–7–01, random copolymer has sum of 2,1- and 3,1-regiodefects from 0.10 to 1.40 mol.%, determined by 13C-NMR spectroscopy, and the film has a tensile modulus in machine direction TM-MD in range of 450 to 850 MPa when measured according to ISO 527-3 on a single-layer cast film with thickness of 50 mcm. Described also is a method of producing such a film and using such a polypropylene composition for producing a film with an improved balance of properties of modulus of elasticity in tension and puncture resistance on protruding parts.

EFFECT: film according to the present invention is characterized by a good balance of properties with respect to mechanical properties, impact properties, with respect to puncture resistance on protruding parts with comparable optical properties with respect to turbidity and shows improved sealing properties with respect to lower sealing temperature.
