FIELD: polypropylene.
SUBSTANCE: multilayer film based on polypropylene, which is biaxially oriented, and its use in flexible packaging. The multilayer film comprises at least a base layer, a first outer layer and a second outer layer, wherein the first and second outer layers comprise a metallocene-derived random propylene-ethylene copolymer having a melt flow index PTR2 in the range of 2 to 10 g/10 min; melting temperature Tmelt in the range from 115 to 135°C; ethylene content in the range from 2.0 to 5.0 wt.% based on the weight of the random propylene-ethylene copolymer; the amount of 2,1- and 3,1-regiodefects in the range from 0.10 to 1.0 mol.%, and the main layer is a polypropylene-based layer.
EFFECT: invention provides a new type of multilayer biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) films with improved sealing properties, such as low sealing onset temperature (SOT) and sufficient sealing strength.
