FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to a method for determining left atrial appendage thrombosis by performing an instrumental examination method. According to the disclosed method, contrast transthoracic echocardiography is performed using ultrasonic transpulmonary contrast agent sulphur hexafluoride, the result is evaluated and thromboses in the left atrial append are defined as additional echo-negative growths (structures) that do not accumulate an ultrasonic transpulmonary contrast agent.
EFFECT: invention provides an efficient and safe method.
