METHOD OF FIXING EDGES OF APERTURE WHEN FORMING TRACHEOSTOMA Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B17/24 A61M25/01 A61M16/04

Abstract RU 2815156 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to anaesthesiology, neurosurgery, surgery, traumatology, otorhinolaryngology, oncology. Soft tissues are incised on the neck in a tracheal projection. One tracheal ring is transected in a longitudinal direction with an additional cross-section in the inter-ring spaces in the form of a cross. Four petals of the anterior wall of the trachea formed during the longitudinal and transverse cross-section incisions are stitched with the sutures-holders. Holding sutures are pulled upwards and outwards. Aperture is stretched until the posterior wall of the trachea is visually visible. Guide wire is removed from the tracheostomy cannula. Tracheal sanitation catheter or bronchoscope is inserted into the cannula. End of the cutter or bronchoscope is brought through the aperture into the distal part of the trachea. Tracheostomy cannula is inserted through a sanation catheter or a bronchoscope through an aperture into a trachea. Sanation catheter or bronchoscope is removed from the tracheostomy cannula. Holding sutures are fixed to the tracheostomy cannula and removed on 4–5th postoperative day.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to improve the results of treatment in patients with impaired function of external respiration, reducing the risk of complications at the moment of tracheostomy formation and in the early postoperative period and complications associated with the use of the dilatation tracheostomy technique.
