FIELD: production of tobacco extracts.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method of producing liquid tobacco extract involves obtaining a starting tobacco material containing natural tobacco material. At the stage of obtaining the original tobacco material, the tobacco is not subjected to treatment intended to change the pH of the tobacco. Next, the starting tobacco material is heated in a flow of inert gas at an extraction temperature of 125 degrees Celsius to 160 degrees Celsius for a period of 90 minutes to 270 minutes. Then, the volatile compounds released from the natural tobacco starting material in the heating step are collected, and a liquid tobacco extract containing the collected volatile compounds is obtained.
EFFECT: provision of a liquid tobacco extract that has a significantly higher content of compounds responsible for the aroma of heated tobacco, such as furanol.
