FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used in production of concrete mixtures for lining protective covers of main chutes of blast furnaces. After removal of spent refractory lining for section of refractory lining with worn-out working surface, vibro-poured refractory concrete is used with alumina content of 63–85% with formation of section of refractory lining with restored surface, and for section of refractory lining with less wearing working surface — vibro-pouring refractory concrete with alumina content of 44–84% with formation of section of refractory lining with restored surface, wherein reconditioned working surfaces of refractory lining layers are separated in area of zone boundary line of vibro-pouring refractory concrete located at the centre of working surface.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing the service life of the refractory lining of the protective cover of the main chute, reduction of specific consumption of refractory materials, reduction of time labour costs for performance of lined works and mechanical repair of metal housing.
