FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy and can be used for drying protective cover of blast furnace chutes. Complex for thermal treatment of the lining of the protective cover of the main chute of a blast furnace contains lined hearth 2, on which the protective cover of main chute 1, a stationary end wall 3 and a movable end wall 4 are installed. Complex is equipped with burner device 6 installed in hole 12 of end wall 3, burner tunnel 7, formed by abutment of metal sleeve 9, outside lined with refractory block 10, located inside or outside working space 5 of the protective cover of the main chute, 1 to opening 12, divider 8, which is a V-shaped structure, forming cutting line 15 of combustion products – gas-air mixture, from refractory products 14 and installed on lined hearth 2 opposite burner tunnel 7 with possibility of linear movement along the entire length of lined hearth 2. Height of burner tunnel 7, the distance from the end of burner tunnel 7 to divider 8, the height of divider 8 have the following dimensions: H1 = (0.2-0.6) H; L1 = (0.1-0.9); h = (0.3-0.7) H, where H1 is the height of burner tunnel 7 above lined hearth 2, mm; H is the height of the stationary end wall 3, mm; L1 is the distance from the end of burner tunnel 7 to divider 8, mm; L is the length of the protective cover of main chute 1, mm; h is the height of divider 8, mm, and the movable end wall 4 has hole 13 in the upper part.
EFFECT: increased service life of the lining of the protective cover of the main chute and reduced specific consumption of refractory materials.
