SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, namely to composition of biocomposite material based on levan and alginate in form of hydrogel base, and can be used as a matrix for the inclusion of drugs and obtaining a wound coating. Proposed biocomposite material is characterized by the fact that the composition of components for its production contains sodium alginate, levan, calcium carbonate, glycerine and water, with the following ratio of components, wt.%: sodium alginate — 1.9–4; levan — 0.9–2; calcium carbonate — 0.1–0.2; glycerine — 0.4–1; water is the rest, wherein levan is used, which is obtained by culturing the Paenibacillus polymyxa VKM B-3504D bacterial strain.

EFFECT: biocomposite material has improved physical and mechanical properties and can be used as a base for wound healing materials.
