METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF RISK OF DEVELOPING COMPLICATIONS OF ULCERATIVE COLITIS IN CLINICAL AGGRAVATION Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC G01N33/48 G01N1/30

Abstract RU 2815655 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gastroenterology and can be used to predict the risk of developing complications of ulcerative colitis in clinical exacerbation. In dynamics, area of 100 cells of anisotropic material in the nucleus of neutrophilic granulocytes is determined with periodicity of 1 time in 3 months, a mean cytochemical coefficient (MCC) is calculated and neutrophil activity index (NAI) is determined by the formula NAI = 3-MCC. If the NAI value is 2.25 and more, a low risk of complications is predicted. If the NAI value is 2.24–1.5, the average risk of complications is predicted. If the NAI value is 1.4–0.75, a high risk of complications is predicted. If the NAI value is 0.74 to 0, the risk of complications is extremely high.

EFFECT: method provides reducing the length of the analysis and individualizing the prognosis of the clinical course of ulcerative colitis and the risks of possible complications by determining the degree of anisotropy of neutrophilic granulocyte nuclei and calculating NAI.
