FIELD: medicine, surgical gastroenterology, immunology.
SUBSTANCE: one should determine the coefficient of myeloperoxidase expenditure in neutrophilic granulocytes as the ratio of its activity levels in stimulated and spontaneous test variants. At the value of this coefficient being 0.32-0.38 one should detect low risk degree for development of complication, and at deviated values of this coefficient against mentioned ones in neutrophilic granulocytes one should establish the risk for development of postoperational surgical complications. The method enables to detect the risk for development of purulent complications if postoperational period, moreover, it is necessary to conduct immune-correcting therapy for this category of patients to exclude the risk for repeated operations, optimize therapy and rehabilitation in patients, shorten the period of their staying in hospital.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of prediction.
