SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to oncology, to a method for preventing development of upper extremity lymphedema in surgical treatment of breast cancer patients. Two "anchors" of the tapes are taken and fixed in the area of the shoulder joint by gluing without tension, then each tape is cut into identical tapes with thickness of 1.4–1.5 cm, retreating from the "anchor" of tape by 4–5 cm at the attachment point of the deltoid muscle to the humerus, wherein beams of the first tape form winding loops passing from the deltoid muscle to the biceps along the lymph nodes, enveloping the elbow joint and completing their fixation with the lateral dorsal surface of the wrist joint, beams of the second tape also originate from the deltoid muscle, but pass along the lateral surface of the shoulder along the triceps, enveloping the elbow joint and completing their fixation at the medial dorsal surface of the wrist joint. Examination was performed from the first postoperative day within the scope of a radical resection of the mammary gland.

EFFECT: method provides preserving the full range of motion of the upper shoulder girdle on the side of the surgical intervention.
