FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: high-voltage converter module with a cooling system comprises a sealed collapsible housing with a base, a roof and side walls. Walls and the roof of the housing are simultaneously a radiator. Dry-type power transformer with a temperature sensor is mounted on the base, above which a balancing reactor is installed, and a thyristor rectifier. Cooling system includes air and liquid cooling. Air cooling is performed by means of internal air cooler installed on the housing wall and equipped with fans, which is made with possibility of blowing of power transformer and thyristor rectifier. Liquid cooling is implemented in the form of liquid cooling system containing external and internal circuits. Internal liquid cooling circuit contains two branches, one of which is supplied to the thyristor rectifier by means of the formed channels in the aluminium buses of the thyristor rectifier itself, the second one — to the internal air cooler. Converter module contains a heat exchange unit configured to remove heat from the inner circuit to the outer one. Thyristor rectifier current shape stabilization unit is installed at the output of the converter module.
EFFECT: providing cooling of power converting equipment with capacity exceeding 1 MW, as well as reducing power losses, increasing converter efficiency.
