FIELD: conversion equipment, development of converters. SUBSTANCE: static converter has cabinet with door mounted on its front. System controlling converter is installed on door inside, on rotary posts, door also carries control desk. Cabinet houses switching automation, unit of radio interference filters, rectifier with control system, intermediate circuit of constant voltage comprising reactor and unit of capacitors, inverter unit built on fast-action keys, supply filter of fast-action keys, control system of inverter. Switching automation, rectifier mounted on cooling unit together with rectifier control system and input power buses are positioned on one side frame of carrying structure on one side of cabinet. Inverter unit built-on fast-action keys is mounted on second cooling unit together with unit of capacitors, supply filter of fast-action keys, control system of inverter and output power buses are positioned on the other side frame of carrying structure on the other side of cabinet. Side frames of carrying structure can turn and swing about rear wall of carrying structure. EFFECT: improved thermal condition of converter, simplified mounting of power buses, diminished usage of materials, reduced mass and dimensions, simplified assembly and mounting, preventive maintenance and repair of converter. 1 cl, 6 dwg
