FIELD: radar equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar engineering and can be used in measuring the effective scattering area of various radar objects of comparable and smaller wavelengths. Device is based on measurement of values of effective scattering area of diffraction maxima of signals reflected from an array composed of these objects, and comprises a transmitting and receiving unit connected to a recorder, a rotary support unit, on which an equidistant array of a specified length is fixed from measurement objects located with a given spacing. Arranging the array so that its axis coincides with the normal to the plane front of the electromagnetic wave emitted by the transmitting unit increases accuracy of measuring ultra-small values of the effective scattering area of radar objects.

EFFECT: high accuracy of measuring ultra-small values of the effective scattering area of radar objects.
