FIELD: various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to obtain a wear-resistant coating by automatic surfacing when restoring worn-out parts and hardening new parts operating under conditions of abrasive wear at dynamic and thermal cyclic loads, for example, parts of the housing of a rotary controlled system. Each layer of surfacing is made in the form of annular surfacing elements with diameter of 10–20 mm, wherein beginning and end of every previous annular surfacing element are covered by next annular surfacing element. Intermediate layer is made with OK AUTROD 16.95 wire, and the upper layer is made with EnDOtec DO*30 flux cored wire. Coating layers are applied in medium of protective gas of composition Ar (98%) and CO2 (2%) at specified modes of deposition. When performing the upper layer, the trajectory of the welding track is set with the centre of the next annular element by 8–16 mm relative to the previous one with the width of the welding seam of 5–10 mm, wherein holding can be carried out between the previous and subsequent annular surfacing elements for 2–10 s.
EFFECT: increased hardness of deposited coating, as well as resistance to abrasive wear.
