SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the powder wire which can be used in energy, chemical and oil industries for restoration and hardening of seating surfaces of shafts, shut-off and throttling fittings, face seals of contact pairs. The powder wire consists of a steel shell and a charge containing components in the following ratio, wt %: chromium boride 10-20; ferrotitanium 2-4; silicon carbide 18-30; steel shell is the rest.

EFFECT: increasedwear resistance of the deposited coating working under metal-to-metal friction conditions.
