FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the methods of additive technologies for creating protective coatings, in particular to a method for layer-by-layer laser cladding of non-magnetic powder material on the surface of the protective elements of the housing of rotary controlled systems made of non-magnetic steel. The method is characterized in that the surface of the protective element is activated, a powder mixture of tungsten carbide or titanium carbide with PGSR-4, taken respectively in a mass ratio of (3-4)/(6-7), is activated, a coating is applied from the specified activated powder mixture laser cladding in an inert gas environment with a powder mixture feed rate of 15-30 g/min into the laser beam coverage area, with a laser beam power of 1.5-3 kW and a laser head movement speed of 2-4 mm/s, and after the coating is formed, heat treatment in vacuum at a temperature of 700-850°C for 40-80 minutes.
EFFECT: increased resistance of the system to hydroabrasive wear and intense loads in difficult geological operating conditions.
