FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used to predict the risk of developing low-tension glaucoma (LTG). Patient’s age and optical coherence tomography parameters of optic nerve head (ONH) are determined: ratio of excavation to ONH, vertical ratio of excavation to ONH, excavation volume, average thickness of retinal ganglion cells complex, central corneal thickness, computer perimetry index Mean Deviation. LTG risk coefficient is calculated. If the LTG risk factor is 8 and more, a high risk of developing low-tension glaucoma is predicted.
EFFECT: method provides higher prediction accuracy by taking into account additional pathogenetic risk factors.
