FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to ophthalmology and covers glaucoma risk and progressing prediction. Corneal hysteresis and central cornea thickness are evaluated. The biomechanical cornea factor is calculated by formula: K = CH / CCT • 50, where K is the biomechanical cornea factor, CH is corneal hysteresis, while CCT is central cornea thickness. If K value is 0.82 and lower, glaucoma risk and progressing is predicted.
EFFECT: method ensures adequate glaucoma risk and progressing prediction considering cornea elastic properties and central thickness with related therapy.
