SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring a central corneal thickness. A tonographic parameter that is Becker coefficient, is also determined. If the corneal thickness is 520 mcm or less, whereas the Becker coefficient is more than 110, the risk of normal tension glaucoma is predicted.
EFFECT: method allows predicting the risk of normal tension glaucoma reliably and accurately due to the simultaneous quantification of the two risk factors - a central thickness and Becker coefficient.
