SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hand-held iron and to corresponding method of its assembly. Iron comprises base (12) with heated plate (13) and housing (14) connected to base (12). Iron also comprises support structure (16) having lower part (17) connected to base (12), upper part (18) for forming an iron handle and intermediate part (19), structurally connecting lower part (17) and upper part (18).
EFFECT: creation of an iron which would be easy to manufacture, as well as easy to use and would provide an easy access for the operator to the controls, as well as creation of iron, which would have simple wiring and would allow even non-specialist operator to easily and quickly replace control elements in case of damages or failures.
