FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dentistry, and is intended for use in restoration of anatomical shape and function of teeth with defects of carious, non-carious, traumatic origin. Tooth is prepared within the enamel at depth of 1.0–1.5 mm while preserving the equator of the tooth. Impressions are taken from the jaws with a silicone impression material. Jaw models are cast from plaster, and jaw models are scanned. Collapsible artificial crown consisting of two parts — vestibular and oral — is simulated in Exocad software. Vestibular part of the artificial crown is modelled so that it covers the vestibular, lateral surfaces of the tooth and the cutting edge, passing by 2–3 mm to the oral surface of the tooth, not reaching the point of occlusal contact with the antagonist tooth. Then, a two-part collapsible artificial crown is made from zirconium dioxide by CAD-CAM milling method; both parts of the crown are fixed on a tooth simultaneously on a light-cured composite dental cement. In the process of fixation, the edges of the vestibular and oral parts of the crown are aligned in a horizontal plane perpendicular to the axis of the tooth, with butt-jointed edges of the crown parts.
EFFECT: method allows to preserve maximum amount of hard tooth tissues, improve strength of connection of crown with tooth enamel, reduce biological risks of complications in the form of pulp inflammation and tooth hypersensitivity.
