FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to production of coated steel sheet used for production of car body parts. Steel sheet coating contains 0.80–1.40 wt.% of Al, 0.80–1.40 wt.% of Mg, optionally one or more additional elements, selected from Si, Sb, Pb, Ti, Ca, Mn, Sn, La, Ce, Cr, Zr or Bi, wherein the weight content of each additional element in the coating is less than 0.3 wt.%, the rest is Zn and unavoidable impurities. Outer surface of coated steel sheet has waviness Wa_0.8 before tempering less than or equal to 0.50 mcm, wherein said waviness is measured in mode of 5% equibiaxial tension in Marciniak device.

EFFECT: sheet has the required surface waviness, which ensures reduction of the paint layer at its constant thickness, as well as improved appearance of the paint on the sheet used for making car body parts.
