FIELD: renewable energy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to renewable power engineering and can be used to drive various devices. Thermal wind engine comprises heat exchange elements arranged along endless transmission mounted on two wheels, axes of rotation of which are shifted vertically from each other. Heat exchange elements are made in the form of conical shells, the endless transmission is made in the form of a chain. Wheels are made in the form of sprockets interacting with the chain and through overrunning clutches with shafts, with which the wind wheel with blades interact through their overrunning clutches. Shafts are arranged on posts bearing a transparent pipe through which a chain with shells passes. Posts are fixed on the base installed on the support with the possibility of being turned by the wind around the vertical axis. Shells, chain and blades have heating surfaces that take up solar rays, wherein blades have a curved shape in cross section.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and expansion of functional capabilities of thermal engine.
