FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention (rotary machine) can be used as a compact and high-performance internal combustion engine and pressure transformer. ICE can be used primarily in transport and aviation. The pressure transformer can be used in industry and in hazardous areas. The rotary machine is shown in Fig. 3...6 and contains a housing and a rotor. Housing 2 has a toroidal inner surface on which spiral channels are located. The rotor contains shaft 1 on which rotation figure 3 is fixed. On a figure of rotation, for example a truncated hollow cone, one or more rotating disk partitions 4 with seals for spiral channels are fixed. When the rotor rotates, rarefaction and compression effects are created in the housing. Rotation figure 3 divides the internal volume into two isolated parts. For a pressure transformer (Fig. 7...10) this is the pneumatic drive zone and the compressor zone. For internal combustion engines (Fig. 11...14) this is the compressor zone and the zone of the thermal energy converter into mechanical energy.
EFFECT: simplified design and increased specific power of the rotary machine.
