FIELD: rail vehicles.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport, particularly, to unloading hatch covers used in open-top wagons. Hatch cover of railway universal open-top wagon is made in three versions. Hatch cover of a railway universal open-top wagon comprises hatch cover sheet (1), hinges (2), brackets of locking mechanism (3) with flat base (4), frame (5) including at least front (6) and side beams (7 and 8). Front beam and side beam are rigidly fixed to hatch cover sheet. On common horizontal surface (9) with its base there is a bracket of locking mechanism. In the hatch cover corner (10 or 11) to the hatch cover sheet, to the locking mechanism bracket base, to side (12) surface of the front beam and to side surface (13 or 14) of the side beam there is plate (15) or angle (16) rigidly fixed. In one version of the hatch cover design, all frame beams are made of bent channel-shaped sections. In another embodiment, the frame front beam is made of a hot-rolled channel, side beams are made of bent channel-like section. In compliance with third version, carcass front and side beams are made of hot-rolled channel.

EFFECT: invention increases rigidity and strength in corners of open-top wagon hatch cover, and also prevents gaps on adjoining hatch cover in area of front beam during manufacture and during operation.
