SUBSTANCE: invention relates to steam generator (200) comprising steam chamber (201) for steam generation, wherein said steam chamber (201) passes between front part (FP) and rear part (RP). Steam generator (200) also comprises at least one steam outlet (202) located in said front part (FP) and receiving steam from said steam chamber (201). Steam generator (200) also comprises heating element (203) for heating steam chamber (201) and cover (204) configured to take a closed position to close said steam chamber (201). Steam generator (200) also comprises dispensing opening (205) located in said cover (204) for receiving water and/or steam from outside said steam generator (200), wherein said dispensing opening (205) is located near said rear part (RP) when said cover (204) is in said closed position. Said heating element (203) is a tubular heating element passing along the surface of steam chamber (201) to form a nested double loop.
EFFECT: present invention provides a novel design for overcoming the problems associated with ingress of drops on treated clothes.
