SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in production of equipment intended for welding vacuum sealed magnetically operated contacts (reed switches) with stem. Device for assembling and welding a vacuum reed switch with a stem made in the form of a piece of a thin-walled glass tube, the longitudinal axis of symmetry of which is located perpendicular to the surface of the glass cylinder, contains holders of contact parts and glass cylinder, resistive heating sources, inert gas supply system into glass cylinder, in which gas supply to stem is provided by means of metal thin-walled tube piece, at that, according to the invention, the geometric dimensions of the mutual arrangement of the structural elements of the device, the shape of the end of the stem and the tube provide for blocking the flow of atmospheric air through the stem into the cylinder and preventing intensive blowing by inert gas of the lower junction of the reed switch and the resistive heater located next to it.

EFFECT: providing welding of reed switches with a "short" stem with stable quality of the lower junction of the reed switch.
