FIELD: nuclear physics.

SUBSTANCE: method of producing a film scintillator further comprises steps of obtaining a mixture of epoxy resin and polyurethane in ratio of 1:1, then 0.6 g of the obtained mixture is added with phenylmethane in amount of 1,200 mcl and the obtained mixture is stirred for 30 minutes, and then adding terbium-activated gadolinium oxysulphate powder to the obtained mixture in amount of 1,000 mg and stirring the obtained mixture for 30 minutes, then the obtained mixture in amount of 1,000 mcl is applied on a base, which is a film of polymer material with thickness of 10 mcm, with the formation of a scintillation layer with thickness of 5–20 mcm, and then the base with the formed scintillation layer is subjected to centrifugation at 2,000 rpm and drying under normal laboratory conditions for 2 hours.

EFFECT: high intensity of the light signal, high sensitivity of detecting proton beams.
