FIELD: pumps.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method of reducing pulsation of a multi-plunger pump system and to a multi-plunger pump system. In the method three triple-plunger pumps 3, 3', 3" are connected in parallel and arranged in a row and operated from one drive shaft of motor 2. Phase shift of operation of plungers of each next pump relative to the previous one is performed by 40 degrees. Coupling 5 fixed on common frame 1 is installed between pumps. Each pump is tied into one flow line. Proposed system comprises mounted on frame 1 motor 2 with triple-plunger pump 3 composed of mechanical and hydraulic parts coupled therewith. Mechanical part of pump 3 includes reduction gear 4 and crank mechanism having crankshaft, connecting rods and slides connected to plungers, which axes are located in alternating sequence with mutual phase shift by 120 degrees on both sides of the plane passing through the crankshaft axis. Pump 3 is connected in parallel with two triple-plunger pumps 3', 3". Motor 2, reduction gear 4 and pumps are arranged in a row with possibility of operation from one shaft. Shafts of pumps are connected by coupling with displacement of shaft of one pump relative to another, providing phase shift of 40 degrees between adjacent pumps, coupling is made of two half-couplings connected by pins through longitudinal holes. Angles of inclination of longitudinal holes of half-couplings are opposite. On the end section of the half-couplings there is a toothed section with an adjustment gear.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability of the multi-plunger pump system by reducing pulsation.
