FIELD: medicine; cardiology.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for non-invasive assessment of severity of chronic heart failure (CHF). Ergoreflex activity is determined by performing two tests: a control sample and a sample with occlusion. After each of them diastolic blood pressure, volume of minute ventilation of lungs, volume of released carbon dioxide are recorded by means of system "Oxycon Pro". Derived values are used to assess the severity of CHF as CHF II FC, CHF III FC and CHF IV FC.

EFFECT: method enables increasing the effectiveness of the conducted treatment of the patients with chronic heart failure by the accurate assessment of the severity of the disease by assessing the set of the most significant indicators.
