SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine latent systolic dysfunction of the right ventricle. Transthoracic echocardiography is performed with measurement of the integral of the linear velocity of blood flow in the outflow tract of the right ventricle, the distal diameter of the right ventricle in the position along the short axis of the left ventricle at the level of the aortic valve, followed by calculation of the stroke volume of the right ventricle, then the stroke volume of the right ventricle is again determined with simultaneous Valsalva maneuvers. Latent right ventricular systolic dysfunction is defined as a decrease in stroke volume by 30% or higher compared to baseline.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to determine the risk group of patients before cardiac surgery for the development of adverse complications by assessing the totality of the most significant indicators.
